It will inevitably happen to you: a computer crash, hard drive failure, or other event that leads to loss of your data. Are you backing up all of your crucial data? If not, you should consider starting. You’ll sleep better at night knowing that your data is safe!
One of the tools available to Mathematics faculty and staff is a backup utility called Code42. This application can be installed to your Apple computers (not iPads) via Self Service, and if set up correctly, will continually back your crucial data up to a secure cloud. Math IT strongly encourages all faculty and staff to take advantage of this tool and safeguard your data.
Each user is permitted to back up 4 devices to their Code42 account. There is no limit on space. Please remember that this product is designed for disaster recovery, and cannot be used as space to work in!
